Melissa Gorga was born on March 21, 1979, in Montville, New Jersey, the United States of America, to father Anthony John Marco and mother Donna Marco.
She was raised in Toms River, New Jersey by her parents along with her two siblings; sisters Kim Marco Pirrella and Lysa Marco-Simpson.

Melissa Gorga joined along with her husband Joe Gorga. The couple joined the Bravo hit series in its third season in April 2010.
She appeared on the show alongside Dina Manzo, Danielle Staub, Caroline Manzo and Teresa Giudice, who is her sister-in-law.
Melissa and Teresa had a series of unforgettable fights. Mellisa worked as a cocktail waitress in a strip club while she was in college but Teresa claimed that she was not a waitress but a stripper in the club. This started a dispute between the two on the show.
