Monster crocodile casually walks past sunbathers relaxing on Caribbean beach The Sun

A GIGANTIC crocodile struck fear into relaxing sunbathers as it casually strolled past them on the beach.

The carefree reptile emerged from the trees as stunned holidaymakers were soaking up the glorious Caribbean sunshine.

The 10ft croc, making a beeline for the sea to cool off, walked past sunbeds on the idyllic Palancar Beach on the island of Mexican island of Cozumel.

Footage of the reptile's beach trip shows a man encouraging sunbathers to keep well back as it emerges from the trees.

Once the initial panic was over, people then pulled out their cameras to take snaps of the crocodile before it took a dip in the water.

Cozumel is one of the most popular cruise destinations in the Caribbean, is largely undeveloped, and hosts a wide variety of exotic wildlife.

The crocodile in the video was actually accompanied by another, but it was later captured while the other remained loose.
