A New Jersey math teacher and cheerleading coach charged with sending inappropriate photos of herself to a male student had her teaching certificate revoked by officials.

Mallory Christ had to surrender her teaching license as part of a deal with prosecutors to enter a pre-trial intervention program that's for first-time offenders, the state Department of Education ruling said.

The 29-year-old South Plainfield native was charged in June with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

She allegedly sent two pictures of herself to a minor student back in February.

Officials began an investigation after the school learned of the photos, which were posted on social media.

The police were notified and arrested Christ shortly thereafter.

Christ had worked at South Plainfield High School for two years teaching algebra to juniors and math to seniors. She also attended South Plainfield as a student.

The 29-year-old also coached the school's cheerleading squad, according to prosecutors.

She previously worked at Sayreville War Memorial High School.
