Piolo Pascual is a Filipino actor, musician, model, and producer. He started his career in the school theater group and later appeared on the teen variety show That’s Entertainment. Pascual studied at the University of Sto. Tomas but left to immigrate to the United States and worked as an ER representative in a hospital in Los Angeles, California. He decided to pursue acting again in his 20s and teamed up with Judy Ann Santos for four successful films.
He won eight Best Supporting Actor awards for his role in the 2002 film Dekada ’70. Pascual also released two certified platinum albums, Piolo and My Gift. In 2009, he began producing with the independent film Manila.
Throughout his career, Pascual has won numerous awards for his acting and music, including YES! Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Awards 2007 Favorite Actor of the Year and Mr. Screen Idol at the 2005 FAMAS Awards.
