Quad City Regional Auto Show awards $55,000 in scholarships

Scholarships totaling $55,000 were awarded to 13 students at Premier Night at the Quad City Regional Auto Show.

The Quad City Community Foundation announced the 2024 recipients of the Quad City Regional Auto Show scholarships:

COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP

  • Lucas Fehlberg, Annawan High School: Ed Morse Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/RAM – $4,000 scholarship
  • Autumn Huizer, United Township High School: Courtesy Car City – $4,000 scholarship
  • Isabella Martens, Davenport West High School: Smart Auto – $4,000 scholarship
  • Makynzii Murley: ,Rock Ridge High School: McGrath, Hiawatha – $5,000 scholarship
  • Kaycee Newman, North Scott High School: Smart KIA/Hyundai – $5,000 scholarship
  • Grace O’Connor, Central DeWitt High School: Ed Morse Chevrolet – $4,000 scholarship
  • Cael Pairrett, Davenport North High School: Smart Auto – $4,000 scholarship
  • Holden Phillips, Davenport North High School: Eriksen Chevrolet – $4,000 scholarship
  • Teegan Rice, United Township High School: Sexton Ford – $4,000 scholarship.
  • Cole Storm, Columbus Community High School: Wiele Motor Co. – $4,000 scholarship
  • Nya Tarpein, Pleasant Valley High School: Smart Luxury – $4,000 scholarship
  • Ricky Zillmer, Bettendorf High School: Kimberly Car City – $4,000 scholarship.

AUTOMOTIVE/TECHNICAL/TRADE SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP

  • Eli Riedel, Calamus Wheatland High School – $5,000 technical scholarship

According to a release, the Auto Show has given over $721,000 to date in scholarships to 218 area students. Proceeds from the Auto Show support the Scholarship Fund. A special presentation of $5,000.00 was made by the Quad City Times to be deposited to the scholarship fund from sales efforts of the Auto Show Special Supplement.
